Created for television by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, WESTWORLD is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin – exploring a world in which every human appetite, not matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. Exploring what it means to be human through the eyes of the lifelike AI “hosts” in the park, the series investigates the boundaries of an exotic world set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past. Meticulously crafted and artfully designed. Westworld offers its guests an unparalleled, immersive world where they have the freedom to become who they’ve always wanted to be – or who they never knew they were. No rules, no laws, no judgment. Live without limits. Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright and more star in this one hour drama series from Bad Robot Production and Kilter Films.

  • The Best Show In Existence!

    By Rino The Bouncer
Truly the most remarkable, well-directed and well-writen Sci-Fi show!
  • In my top ten of all time.

    By Murphy761
Up there with The Wire, Breaking Bad, BCS, BSG, GOT, and The Sopranos. This amazing, and timely show is incredibly complex and requires the viewer's absolute and undivided attention. Silence you phone, put down your PadPod, etc., and watch it on a big screen. Watch, listen; pay attention. There's a lot going on. A lot of subtext that will be missed if you are impatient or easily distracted. Not a show for children, chronophobes, gymnophobes, puritans, nor the nervous. I hope season two is as great. A high mark has been set.

  • The Best Show Out There

This has been the best show I’ve watched in a long time. The characters are interesting, the plot twists are blindsiding, and the thought provoking aspect is one that surprises you in the moment. I can’t wait until season 2!
  • Cerebral Softporn

Titillating but otherwise so far afield from the source material that you’ve got to wonder why they even had to call it Westworld at all. Certainly has enough Nolanesque idocracy-grade sillyscience to be able to satisfy folks impressed with the likes of Arrival and Interstellar, yet seasoned with enough gratuitous sexuality to lend it wink-wink art cred.

This show is SO. Freaking. RAD.
  • Debauchery

    By cosmiccath
It's a shame ... taking a once unique idea and turning it into yet another excuse for base debauchery. Nice sets, high production values and cinematorgraphy to match cannot save this agendized re-make. Waste of good production money.
  • Misses the mark.

The only good thing I can say about this series is that it inspired me to look up the original 1973 movie which was very inspiring and prophetic for its time. I'm not a prude. I see well crafted R rated / Mature / TV series all the time. I don't mind profanity, nudity or violence if it's crafted in a natural, intelligent and creative way within proper context. One of my biggest annoyances with this series is the extreme and gratuitous overuse of F bombs and profanity. It reminds me of an 8 year old who discovers a bad word and begins saying it a lot because they think its cool. It's not funny, it's stupid. To me it shows poor craft by the writers and producers of this series.
  • Top notch

Truly great acting. The set, design, customing, writing, plot lines, ... the whole package. This takes science fiction to new heights. Great emotional impact between actors.
  • Brilliantly Realized/Hungry for More! SPOILER ALERT

The original movie - by contrast - is unwatchable. HBO has done yet another remarkable TV show. One can only hope the series can continue despite how the last episode indicated otherwise (unless the storyline continues directly with S2E1 following Maeve's progress out of the park...)
