Description

John Boyega (Star Wars series) is the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity's victory against the monstrous "Kaiju." Now an even more fearsome alien threat has been unleashed on the world and Jake is called back into action by his former co-pilot, Lambert (Scott Eastwood), and a 15-year-old Jaeger hacker, Amara (Cailee Spaeny). Rising up to become the most powerful defense force to ever walk the earth, they will set course for a spectacular all-new adventure on a towering scale.

Pacific rim uprising was ok,the action moments were good yet they weren’t because in the first one there was more fight scenes but in uprising there were only three major ones and they were all mostly shown in the trailer, secondly there was a lot of cringy scenes like quit a few and then the characters were ok,the son of the guy from the last one came out of nowhere and the decision to make Charlie day a villain was stupid but it was interesting and it had a ok feel

It is as bad as you think it is. Maybe worse. Run. Flee to the hills. Eat grub worms if you have to but avoid this movie as it will make you sad, realizing you will never get those two hours back, and subliminally will never be able to remove these images from your brain. On your death bed, do you really want the image of a Kaiju to flash before your eyes? Save yourself. I will bear this burdon for you... go on without me...
  • Plot + Acting = Unwatchable.

The “acting abilities” of Cailee Spaeny are non-existent. Not only is she an untalented mess but she makes facial expressions for every line that she belches out. I hope that her acting career is nuked after this disaster of a movie. Avoid at all costs.

I watched the original and I must say that this truly lives up to it! It has a compelling story, self deprecating humor, brilliant fight scenes, and a perfect setup for another sequel film. While not perfect, it is truly worth the money!

Like the people who harvested the alien remains in the first movie. Pacific Rim’s misbegotten sequel rips away any semblance of respect for the miraculous original by completely omitting, killing off or inexplicably changing remaining characters. How anyone in their right mind gives a franchise like this to a man who had 7 TV episodes worth of directing credits is beyond me. What’s worse is the director also wrote it as his first full length feature. That’s right, from the man who brought you MTV’s Undressed and who wrote for Buffy the vampire slayer, Angel, and briefly for Smallville...we get this steaming pile of re-heated effluence.
